Chinese circus has a very long history and is an excellent and precious cultural legacy of the Chinese nation. There are a lot of circus villages in China, for example, Liaocheng of Shandong province, Yancheng of Jiangsu province, Puyang of He’nan province, Tianmen of Hubei province, Guangde of Anhui province, Wuqing of Tianjin city, Wuqiao, Suning and Bazhou of Hebei province etc., but as to the history, the influence among people, and the influence both in domestic and abroad, Wuqiao is the most famous one.
　　Wuqiao circus became famous all around China from Yuan Dynasty and before Yuan, the circus of He’nan province was more influential. After the foundation of Yuan Dynasty, the capital moved from Kaifeng of He'nan to Beijing, thus flourished the acrobatics art of Wuqiao and enlarged its influence rapidly. Nowadays, Wuqiao has become the circus village famous all around the world.
　　Because of the wide and deep influence of Wuqiao circus both in China and abroad, Hebei province decided to hold China Wuqiao International Circus Festival in 1987.

　　The 11th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival is to be held in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province from 27th October to 4th November, 2007. The Organizing Committee will warmly invite circus and magic artists from all over the world to take part in the Festival.
